As Canada’s largest HIV service organization, the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT) (opens the ACT website), and their thousands of volunteers, supports the community in defending against the stigma associated with AIDS.
As part of Sandbox’s Amplifying Good program, all costs associated with the discovery, design, development, and launch of the site, were covered by Sandbox. Sandbox continues to maintain our relationship with ACT through our hosting services, as well as through our maintenance and support program.

Solution
Given ACT’s important role in educating their community about HIV infections and the steps to prevention, ACT’s website required a redesign and redevelopment as to allow for all users to access critical information quickly and easily. In December 2022, ACT partnered with Sandbox for their site. Sandbox’s discovery activities with ACT included stakeholder interviews and a Google analytics review.
Outcome
In October 2023, Sandbox launched the AIDS Committee of Toronto's site. ACT’s new website is now a flagship for ACT’s digital properties while it works to increase volunteer hours, expand communications, and increase the number of supporters for the committee.
The new website is built dynamically to support a responsive experience across many different types of desktop and mobile devices.
