After getting his first computer in the early 90s, Dean started learning about the internet and playing with technology right away. He doesn’t miss the hiss and crackle of the dial up modem handshake. As a first foray into development, he created a personal website with some dragon pics and poetry just for kicks. He continued to learn more about development throughout the 90s, through university (completing a Bachelor of Science - Hon.) and then in college (completing an IT diploma).
Dean started his development career in 2000 when Y2K failed to decimate the world. He has worked with many technologies over the years but considers web applications and web service integrations his specialty.
Since joining the Sandbox team in 2018, Dean has worked as a senior software developer on larger projects. From these projects, he’s had the pleasure of pitching in on architecture and design, assisting with planning, meeting with clients, contributing with day to day development, mentoring teammates, and much more.
When he’s not trapped in the Matrix or transfixed by a computer screen’s glare, Dean is likely hanging with his family, reading, watching movies, listening to music and playing guitar.

Stephen has been the go-to "tech guy" for all of his life, since the early days of 28.8kbps dial-up modems and Pentium Pro processors. Drawn to the digital frontier by early chat rooms like mIRC and online gaming, in tandem with his hobbies as an amateur artist and writer, it was only a matter of time until he made his first attempt at creating his own video game when he was fourteen years old. His love for creative programming led to a degree as a Computer Programmer/Analyst from Conestoga College, specializing in front-end, creative and adaptive user interface designs.
Stephen has worked with Sandbox for nearly three years, building multiple website solutions for health care clients. It is his joy to help create the digital tools needed to assist people that give care and warmth to the world.
