The South Bruce Grey Health Centre (SBGHC) serves a community of approximately 44,000 people in addition to 10,000 seasonal residents and 30,000 tourists across four rural hospital sites located in Chesley, Durham, Kincardine and Walkerton. The staff team of close to 400 provides high quality care services including acute, coronary and obstetrical care, surgery and a full range of diagnostic and ambulatory care services.
Move to a more intuitive and user-friendly CMS
Design responsive states for the public website and ensure it is supported on the most recent releases of common web browsers
Create an Intranet for staff that will support departmental collaboration and communication
Working with SBGHC, Sandbox Software Solutions developed a sophisticated website using the OASIS web Content Management System, which allows website administrators to easily manage the range of content commonly deployed by the Centre. Sandbox Software also incorporated a robust media gallery, along with HR tools facilitating employee recruitment and resume collection. A Staff Portal was also developed for the SBGHC using OASIS CMS. This extranet allows staff members to search for text strings on any web page and/or any document uploaded to the private portal, manage in-house events, and attach a forum to any uploaded document for comments. Finally, a Board of Directors web portal was also implemented, which provides support for board document assembly and distribution, and archiving of board meeting outcomes.
With a strong focus on communication, collaboration and information sharing, the website and portals developed for SBGHC have streamlined many business processes and allow the Health Centre to be more efficient and more effective. Sandbox is proud to have worked with South Bruce Grey Health Centre on three generation of their website and intranet (2009, 2015, 2019).
