The Guelph-Wellington Business Enterprise Centre is dedicated to helping local area businesses and entrepreneurs succeed in their ventures. To accomplish their mandate, the Centre offers workshops, seminars, training, and manages numerous government-sponsored programs including the Ontario Self- Employment Benefit Program and Summer Company. The organization approached its technology partner, Sandbox Software Solutions to redesign and rebuild their dated website in a powerful content management system.
In addition to providing a fresh look to the website, heavy emphasis was placed on making relevant content easily and quickly available to the Centre’s target audiences. A number of new site features, managed in the OASIS Content Management System, were built including organizational news, event calendars, online seminar registration and staff profiles. The website also integrates with the Centre’s custom-built client database to better serve those enrolled in the SEB program.
The new website was launched as part of Small Business Week celebrations in 2014. The look, feel and information available at the new site were received by staff, partners and the community with great praise. The Centre’s staff continues to keep the site's content fresh by regularly making updates through the Content Management System.
